Hawking's Hallway by Neal Shusterman, Eric Elfman

4.0

In this third book in the Accelerati Trilogy, Nick and his friends are battling not just the Accelerati but Thomas Edison himself. Now that the F.R.E.E. has worked once, Edison wants to not only harness the power but own it. It is a race against time, as the asteroid continues to build up its electrical charge as it circles the earth. This must be safely released or it could mean the end of life on earth. Nothing is as it seems in this final book -- enemies are now allies and both time and space are flexible. Mitch, Caitlin, Vince, and even Petula all grapple with their own fears to do what is right, nut just for themselves, but for their friends and the world as a whole. With all of the humor and adventure of the first two, this is the perfect finale to a fantastic trilogy. Recommended for grades 4 & up. Must read the series in order.
