This was my first dive into darker romance and I la la loooooved it! The characters were deliciously morally gray, extremely clever and witty, and heart-meltingly mushy all at the same time. I consumed this book via audio, and the voice actors did an excellent job of portraying the lust, wit, fear, anger, and every emotion in between. The spice was 🥵🥰👌. Honestly, my only critique was that it seemed almost too easy/perfect. There was hardly any real conflict that wasn't easily explained. Then again, as much as I love a good conflict such as miscommunication trope, etc, it can get old and predictable, so the pure love and care the mmc and fmc had for each other was refreshing. Loved it!
