T. Kingfisher is 2023s power house author and with Thornhedge they have solidified their auto buy author status with me. This was such a heartwarming yet equal parts dark little tale.
You think you know the fairytale of a princess trapped in a tower? Don’t get me wrong I LOVE tangled, it may be my favourite princess movie but this retelling fed my fairytale loving soul. I honestly think you should go into this one without reading the synopsis as I did. I dove into it only knowing that this story is not about the princess in the tower, so that’s what you’ll get from my review in turn.
Lyrical prose that has you falling in love with the characters so quickly, I was in awe. Didn’t want to put this one down. Thank you @tordotcompub for this treasure, 5✨.
