Jack met the man’s eyes. “Husband.”
The cop didn’t seem fazed. “Uh-huh. And what would he say if he knew you were
jumping into street fights?”
He wouldn’t say anything, because his head would have exploded. “Yeah, I get what
you’re saying.”


I didn't like this one so much as the other two short stories. I think it was a bit dishonest Jake was lying to D and didn't tell the truth.
