🖌 𝕮𝖆𝖘𝖘𝖎𝖊 is a talented artist, but unfortunately, she's not making a great living from it. She works two jobs, but that's still not enough to help her pay her rent. On the brink of eviction, she answers an add on Craiglist to someone looking for a roommate in a beautiful apartment in Chicago that has a view of a lake. But it's making her suspicious when she finds out how cheap the rent is.

🧛‍♂️ 𝕱𝖗𝖊𝖉𝖊𝖗𝖎𝖈𝖐 is very formal, and he looks like he is out of this world, from the way he dresses to the way he talks, writes, and the questions he's asking. Cassie just thinks he's weird. But after they meet and the confusion of the rent amount is sorted out, they become roommates. And they barely see each other since Frederick seems to be out all night and sleeping through the day, and Cassie is out all day working.

🩸 They leave each other notes in the kitchen, communicating with one another, and on rare occasions, they do find each other at home at the same time. But one day, Cassie finds some blood bags in the fridge and freaks out...and now Frederick has some explaining to do, including why he needs her help.

𝕸𝖞 𝕽𝖔𝖔𝖒𝖒𝖆𝖙𝖊 𝕴𝖘 𝕬 𝖁𝖆𝖒𝖕𝖎𝖗𝖊 was entertaining, funny, witty, and silly, and the writing was great. It reads easily, and I was not bored once throughout it. It started super funny for me, but then, somewhere in the middle, toward the end, it fell a bit flat, in my opinion. I'm not sure yet what made it feel that way for me... I liked it, but I wish I liked it more. I think I wanted to see some different things that I don't want to put on here so I don't spoil the book, but I get where the focus was mainly....anyway, still a fun read.
