Im so annoyed i didnt read this when i was younger bc i would have been obsessed.
I did prefer the summer camp setting so it was kinda annoying when they left and went out into the world as we no longer had the interaction with the other campers.
However unlike the lower star reviews i did like how they traveled across America i thought it was fun.
I know they are half gods but Percy kinda felt OP and the things he was battling seemed fairly easy to him. I would have prefered if he failed a few times first which would have been more realistic as he literally has had no training compared to annabeth and that goat guy.
But overall yeah this was good and an easy read. It makes me wanna read Harry Potter again.
