This book took a little while to get into, simply because the world is so different and developed. I loved the characters so much. Even got to the point of crying over them when the scenes got really intense.
Highly recommend to folks looking for strong world building and a complex inner world for the characters. They all struggle to come to terms with their lives and their empire in different ways.
