I Can't Sleep
by JE Rowney
I received an arc copy of this book.
It is a psychological thriller that is a great easy read. I found myself flying through the book.
Becky, is a very traumatised character and an unreliable narrator. Given the fact she suffers from insomnia and doesn't realise sometimes that she has nodded off for a micro-sleep. This makes things interesting for us the reader, as we try to piece together and work out if what she is saying is real or her mind playing tricks.
I liked the fact that she was speaking to us directly, it made us feel more involved.
The only thing I can say as a negative is the ending, it felt a bit rushed and left a lot of questions unanswered.
