This book was damaging to me, I was gifted this book because this series had been really popular in my family. My mom loved them when she was young and both my brothers read them and loved them.
But for me it was a big no. I loved the main character but the writing was not great and the story was very repetitive. I did nog get any trigger warnings before hand and was really not prepared for the vivid rape scenes Wich went on for a big part of the book and as a survivor myself it brought up some extremely vivid memories. I should have DNF't there because it was not worth the rest of the story.
So if you want to read it just make sure to check the trigger warnings.
