I'm re-reading the Kate Daniels series, and I think I'm enjoying it even more the second time through. I think it helps having finished the whole series and just knowing and loving these characters and this world. The one thing I didn't like about this one was how quickly Kate started calling Julie "her kid". It's like, she met this girl two days ago and wants to protect her (I get that), but she's all "they took my kid". It was just too much, too fast.

Started so slow that I began to wonder if I wanted to just quit this series. But it got better and better, and I loved the epilogue. I'm definitely not quitting.
