Really good read, my favorite style of writing. The structure is more poetic than prosaic. The writer, even through translation, provides descriptions closer to plays than to novels. The emotions of the narrator come through due to the deep descriptions of the turmoil in the narrator's head.

The plot itself is a very clever idea. The writer then executes the plot to a reasonable amount of detail. An idea in a clinic changes a world and causes such mayhem that humanity's base behaviors shine through. Reliving the past in this book served to remind the readers of the fixed constant that is human activity. The fickleness, the populism, the mistakes all provide critical plot points.

Overall highly recommend this book. I read it in five hours and enjoyed every minute.
