I was first very dubious about this trilogy, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised and am delighted that I continued to read. Jude is a challenging character; she’s stubborn and willful and she will cut you. It was truly satisfying to see the events from the previous books catch up to these characters and then having to handle their situations to bring forth a new outcome. And what I think I love the most is Jude and Cardan learning to trust each other, and I think that’s what helped make their development come full circle.
