It was slightly entertaining at first, but descended into word salad. Many words used to express the simplest of moments. It's the story of a guy that falls in love with a woman he bones. Yup, that's it! I'm not the smartest guy on these review boards, so I may be wrong about the story of this book. I hope I am as I saw this book as dull as fuh! It reminded me of Lolita in the way it uses words to destroy the readers train of thought as they read (I know people love Lolita, but I hated it as well). Like trying to make your way through a maze and always hitting dead ends, if that makes sense. This dude falls for a chick and tries hard to get "with her" over and over again. It was a nonsensical book, one I almost quit and hated coming back to. I finished it, but it came at high sacrifice of reading an actual enjoyable book. I hope not all Russian literature is like this, I have higher hopes for what lays ahead. 1.5/5. Just happy to be done with it.
