Obsidian Throne by Robin D. Mahle, Elle Madison

4.0

OK OK OK. We love a warrior.
I enjoyed how much Rowan grows into herself. How she finds strength in what she had feared so much. I also enjoyed the dual POV. So much of Evander’s character was from the eyes of Rowan, lots of mystery behind him. But getting chapters from his view really rounded his character out.

YES IF: action/war, lots of heart felt moments, a woman coming into her strength, dual pov, women being women (in the best way)

I do wish Rowan’s powers had been expanded on/explored a little more. It felt like there was a ton of build up over 4 books for it to just sort of be like “oh cool” and that’s it

WHY OH WHY DO WE HAVE TO HAVE BABIES. YOURE LIKE 18/19 JUST BECAME QUEEN AND ARE TRYING TO PICK UP PIECES AFTER A WAR?!?!?!??!!!!!
