I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
HEA: yes
POV: dual 1st person POV
spice: several open-door spicy scenes
TWs: death of a parent (recounted), murder (recounted), bullying, grief, cheating (not MCs), fat shaming, abuse, mentions of non-fatal car crash, PTSD
standalone: book 4 in the Elements of Rapture series (can be read as a standalone)
final thoughts: this book follows 2 people who are slow with trust and quick with a comeback. The female characters in this book were sassy and witty and Kavi was the best of them all. Hudson did his very best to fight his attraction to Kavi until one drunken declaration opens the door to more. I love how he took care of Kavi and showed her all the ways he loved her even if he couldn’t say the words.
Kavi was a great quirky FMC who was self-sufficient, knew her self-worth, and didn’t let anything stop her from her desires.
Hudson was a great grumpy MMC who is driven and closed off with everyone until Kavi worms her way through his defenses in their first meeting and he can’t seem to get her out of his head no matter how hard he tries… so he might as well ask her to move in right? Just for convenience for work…
