The Little Paris Bookshop by Nina George
5.0

What a gorgeous novel! This was recommended to me years ago by a friend and I finally decided to knock it off my to-read list. This is about a man named Jean Perdu who is still mourning the loss of his beloved 20 years later whom he believes she left him or did she? He soon finally opens a final letter she had written to him and I won't give away the contents within it. He owns a boat bookshop in Paris and soon takes a journey to get closure on his beloved Manon. The book was interesting from beginning to end and I don't know why the ratings were so low. Maybe people don't want to read about grief or heartache? Maybe people don't want to believe that people can love more than one person? Whatever the case, the low ratings people are deeply mistaken in my opinion because this is a gorgeous little novel with a deeply satisfying ending. A highly recommended read.
