Wow. That last section about how things ended for Luzia and Santángel really got me in the feels. It is extremely rare fiction novels trigger my feels, so that is saying something.

I really went back and forth with how to rate this book. It definitely draws in the reader and makes you want to find out what happens next and how everything resolves at the end. I was not a big fan of Luzia's character at the beginning of the story, but I liked her at the end. I feel like she matured as the story progressed. If course I was rooting for her and Santángel the entire time. Victor's ending made me happy. He got what he deserved, the jerk. This book is darker than what I normally read, but the story was creative and gripping, and it drew me in from the start. I am glad I read it. I found it magical.
