Girls Save the World in This One by Ash Parsons

4.0

This was fun! And I say that despite the fact that it was, very much, a story about real zombies and there are real losses, and the terror conveyed feels real, but -

It was also told from the POV of a teenage girl, who before *and* during a zombie outbreak is struggling with real teenage life issues; a teenage girl who is in the middle of fangirling in a convention about zombies when zombies happen, and who has a knack for gallows humour. So yeah, it's aimed at a younger audience, but it's also a fun, quick read that balances horror with the kind of humour born of desperation, AND

female badassery! The title isn't lying; girls really do save the world in this one.
