The story of Alistair and Eloise is interesting and really fast paced. Kinda like all of Jagger Cole’s stories.
Alistair is your typical alpha broody good looking billionaire with a bit of rage problem. He is smart, calculated and a bit cold in the beginning. To be honest, at times, his behavior was a bit too much and low-key annoying.
Eloise on the other hand was spectacular. She is a mafia princess but does not give damsel in distress vibes. Don’t get me wrong, she still was in distress and needed saving but her backstory showed her tough and defiant side. I wished she had more of that in her present story.
Nevertheless, I enjoyed her character, whilst flawed. She dishes out, what she can take, plus she is hella smart.
I don’t think this book will be my favorite from this series, but I still enjoyed it.
