Reckless Cruel Heirs by Olivia Wildenstein

5.0

I was going to skip reading this one, but then a few hours passed and I really missed being in the world Wildenstein created, so I started the book... and got hooked.

description

I usually can't handle continuing a series when so much time passes. It breaks my heart to see characters older, but this didn't hurt as bad. It was interesting to see what had happened in the last 20 years. There were a few times this broke my heart in the story, but the book mainly focused on the two new characters (the daughter of Cat and Ace and Faith's son). So it was okay.

I loved the whole adventure feel (almost dystopian-esque). The change in the relationship didn't feel to rushed. The writing was well done. It was interesting to see how the writing changed over the years. Overall, I really loved this addition to the series. Some things were left a little unresolved so I am really hopeful that there is going to be another book coming soon!

SPOILERS >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Okay I just need to let out the two things that really broke my heart. First off, I was so happy when Faith and Cat became friends. Then to see that for 20 years they were enemies again. Yeah that hurt.

BUT CRUZ! CRUZ! That killed me! Killed me! And it feels a little like Twilight bc it seems like Cruz is going to go after Giya (lilys mom) which feels like a Jacob and Renesmee situation (but not really because Giya is actually an adult). So I am actually looking forward to seeing that and more of Amara and Remo!
