I absolutely loved this story. This was by far my favorite of the series for so many reasons. The characters, the plot, the emotion and the tension, all of it was just so well done. I was interested in vets the moment she showed up in crimson river so getting to be in her head and see her get her happy ending was really exciting and rewarding. I normally don’t love when the girl is obsessed with the guy first but I think it worked so well in this situation and it added something to their relationship. I loved the personal journey that Vera went on and how throughout the book she got more comfortable and better at communicating. Mateo was her perfect match and also a great character in it of himself. I loved how considerate and caring he was of her while also trying to do the best for her. He was patient and understanding which was exactly what Vera needed and just felt like it was in his nature to do. I loved the progression of their relationship and thought Allie played just the right role. I loved the setting and the little bit of mystery that didn’t take away from the romance. The only complaint that I have about this book is that the fbi storyline felt thrown in and underdeveloped and rushed. I would’ve rather it just not be in there at all. But none the less this was such a good way to finish off this series and this story was everything I wanted and more.
