The Hidden Oracle by Rick Riordan

3.0

I was skeptical of this story being told from the perspective of a god, but Apollo gets much less annoying as the story goes on. Not the strongest Riordan book, though. The action didn't really pick up until the very end and then bam, book's over. I also didn't get as invested in the characters as I have in past books.

On a positive note, although Meg was pretty unlikable, the way Riordan describes her conflicted feelings about her abuser was haunting. It was very realistic and was one of the most memorable scenes for me. Also, gold star for including gay characters and not having that be the focus--they are just characters like everyone else!
