This book was just exquisite.  It is about this family that are all home together in 2020 because of the pandemic.  The three adult daughters want to know the whole story of the time when their mom dated a very famous actor before he was famous.  The time period where the mom dated the actor was at Tom Lake where they were in a play together.  Ann Patchett did such a great job with writing this novel.  I loved the characters and I liked how the book interwove both of the time periods, although sometimes the transition from past to present wasn't super obvious.  I looked forward to reading this book every day.  I loved how the mom left out some parts of the story to keep to herself, but the reader got this inside information.  I really hope that they make this into a movie or TV series.  It also wasn't a sad pandemic novel at all.  I didn't listen to this, but I imagine that Meryl Streep did a fabulous job with the narration.
