This is the third installment in the "Tomes and Tea" series and like the previous two, this follows Reyna and Kianthe. This time they're getting ready for their wedding and a planned coup to overthrow Queen Tilaine.
This deals with hidden heirs, overbearing parents, baby dragons and just the normal chaos of these books.
As with the previous books, this was a joy to read - really fun, funny, has a great cast of characters (and some loveable new ones). We had cameos of Feo and Wylan, who I still love and adore the most (book about them when? It's mentioned on her website as a possibility). Serina and Bobby also made an appearance and it was lovely to be back with them again too. And Dreggs (looking forward to the series following them). There's also a new couple - James and Fauston, who are so adorable I could die. And we have an asexual character (Tessa) which was refreshing to see, I just would've liked to see her character fleshed out more and expanded on. Also nice to see Venne again - he grew on me this book. And the game "Cocoa and Capitalism" sounds like a wild ride (kind of a more hands on form of Monopoly but with small businesses). Also seeing Reyna's journey this book in particular, with religion and also her path towards her new role, it was interesting to see it all unfold over the course of the book, and I'll be interested to see where it goes from here. And seeing Kianthe reconcile with her family and childhood best friend was so lovely (I loved Kianthe and Fauston's friendship so much). I'm not going to lie though, I'm mad about the cliffhanger ending, and that I have to wait to find out what happens next!

All in all, it was a great addition to a fun series, and I can't wait to see how it gets wrapped up!
