The Marriage Portrait by Maggie O'Farrell

I don't even care about the liberties taken with history, I flipping love O'Farrell's flowery descriptive prose and focus on art and power. Very much feels like Lucrezia is in many ways standing in for the lot of many noble women (with the lens expanding to serving women too, particularly as we culminate) throughout history.
