Strange Sally Diamond by Liz Nugent

5.0

"Strange Sally Diamond" took me by surprise in the best possible way—it was nothing like I expected.

The novel follows Sally Diamond, a woman seen as "strange" by the residents of her small town. She speaks rarely and has lived a sheltered life under the care of her adoptive parents. Early on, we discover that Sally is the daughter of a young kidnapping victim and her captor, a revelation that sets the stage for a deeply compelling narrative. The story unfolds through the perspectives of Sally and a brother she never knew existed, creating a layered and immersive experience.

This book has become one of my favorites of the year, and I highly recommend it!
