Ready Player One by Ernest Cline

4.0

Other reviewers have amply covered the problems with this book (see William Cline and Melissa Proffitt for excellent reviews), but in spite of the wooden writing, the oh-so-convenient coincidences, the endless info-dump, and the flat ending, I still had a blast reading it. It's quick and absorbing and fun. So even though it's really just a 3-star book, I rounded up and gave it four. Relax, turn off your inner critic, and enjoy.
