90s nostalgia, small town vibes that felt like Starry Hollow, the yearning. 🤌🏼 This is the perfect book to read this fall. It felt like a warm hug and I just felt so happy reading it.

Michelle has recently lost her mom as well as just gotten divorced and she embarks on figuring out how to run an inn her mom left behind to her younger sister in a small town in Vermont. Not only does she find love but she finds herself again and a found family.

I loved when she found a friendship with Cliff but more so how that develops into love. It felt like I was watching a 90s romcom and truly felt that cozy feeling of the story. Their banter was exquisite and I loved it so much. They really grow together and I loved seeing them come together as a family in the end. Cliff is the best single dad for his two girls and seeing Michelle be embraced in that? I loved it. Their love is a slow burn but so so worth the wait. Things get a tad spicy so I give it a 2 🌶️ out of 5.

My favorite was Rocket. Michelle constantly talking to him felt like what I do with my pups. AND THAT EPILOGUE? Literally made me tear up so much. I was not expecting that.

There were so many favorite moments from Michelle meeting everyone, the burnt biscuits, Cliff being a dad, the moments with Emily and Brittany…just so many.

This book is perfect for the fall season and will definitely be reading again in the future. Thank you NetGalley, Berkley Publishing Group and Julie Olivia for the ARC in exchange of an honest review.
