This book started off a little bit slow but overall I liked it just as much, if not more, than the first book! I loved all the new characters that were introduced and it tied up all the loose ends from the first book! I don’t want to spoil anything, but the twists and turns were so satisfying! And in the end I felt very content with the story! My only critique is that the romance between Seraphina and Lucien is a little bit bland in my opinion, I like that it’s more sub-plot than plot, but I didn’t enjoy it as much as I enjoyed the platonic relationships in the book. The world building and prose are probably the aspects I thought were the best!
Also I highly recommend the audio book! The reader is really great and I think it really added to my enjoyment!
