The Ferryman by Justin Cronin
5.0
Compelling read
I enjoyed this but can't say too much without spoilers creeping into my review. I will say the character of Proctor Bennet was intriguing and yet relatable. Cronin's use of dual narration kept me guessing as to whose POV was the more reliable one. In the end, I did feel like I'd seen this premise before more than once but, at the same time, he added enough elements to keep it fresh. The ending was certainly a creative way of dealing with the haves and have-nots. Can't say more without spoilers.
