For the most part, I went into this blindly. I knew certain things about this book because of minor spoilers and from certain things online, but otherwise, it was a completely new story for me. Despite being the (presumably) actual scripts of part one and part two, I had no problems picturing and experiencing the personalities of the new characters. Albus and Scorpius were written very well. It's a good addition and I have no problem with it happening years after the battle of Hogwarts. There was a very funny mention about having a baby.

This isn't a bad story, but what disappointed me was that the two main writers missed an epic opportunity. I think they did it on purpose, too. The idea that Albus and Scorpius are heterosexual is ridiculous, and it was a forced thing when at the end of the book, one of them is excited about going to a dance with some girl. They wrote it in a way where there was romantic and sexual tension between the two guys. Some may call it ridiculous, but since they didn't ship the two boys together after all of that romantic tension, I give this only 3 stars.
