geeknb 's review for:
Suicide Squad, Volume 2: Basilisk Rising
by Adam Glass
#8 Harley is still alive. Deadshot has lost his aim. Savant has left the squad and prison. Or has he? And Black Spider is back (something happened to him at the beginning of the series but I can't remember what. Oh, and one of them is a traitor, a member of Basilisk, tasked with chopping off Amanda Waller's head. Of course she deserves it 100%. I hate her.
#9 ties in with Resurrection Man #9. SS take on RM and no-one really comes out top. Yoyo, who was swallowed by king shark several issues ago, has finally escaped. Waller manages to get one of RMs hands and is keeping it in a jar.
Art is good but very few of the SS characters are sympathetic or likeable, so it is hard to care what happens to them. Invariably you are almost always rooting for the people they are fighting against.
#10 - 13. So we finally find out who the traitor is and someone dies
No one trusts anyone else which rubs off on the reader.
