When I started reading that book, I had the same impression that it would be more of a "50 Shades" kind of thing, but it turned out to be a full-blown romance. It's nice and all, but if I'm being honest, I've come across better romance stories. The writing style felt immature to me, but I do also understand that from the POV of college students that might be necessary.
Don't get me wrong, the book is not bad, but I personally won't continue with the series unless I'm in the mood for something low-key. The first half was better, but it lost its charm as the story progressed and became more and more sappy. I was waiting for it to be over in the second half, but it was decent.
I can see why there is so much hype around it for sure, especially for people into romance, just not my cup of tea!
