Actual 3.5 stars
Thought provoking and less depressing/intense than some of the other authors work. The only thing that kept this from being four stars was the sheer number of issues crammed into it: infidelity, suicide, bullying, gay rights, censorship, Christianity/agnostic, PTSD, gun safety. It just started to feel like a bit much. I really liked the main character though. He was believable and his growth seemed genuine.
