Fun, funny, and heartwarming! I enjoyed the characters and perspectives, and I am deeply a sucker for found family so I was thrilled by it all.

I felt the re-entrance of Tilly was a little bit haphazard, and felt very much like an afterthought, but otherwise I really liked these dynamics! I found a lot of it deeply relatable as someone with a Mom who I love very deeply but can definitely steamroll you if you're not careful, though I wish there was a little more exploration of that dynamic with Vera + Tilly as opposed to just the other characters. I also really loved how Oliver and Julia's dynamic was handled - even if they get together in future novels (which could certainly be sweet) I really like how the manuscript wasn't treated as a grand romance!
