Deep End by Ali Hazelwood
5.0
"I knew you wouldn't mind. Being my precious toy. My girl. Mine to use. Mine to fuck. Mine to destroy and to fix."
A spicy fucking masterpiece. But I'm always a fan of the way Ali writes spice so *wiggle*
"I don't know why it's such a turn-on, that you're so much smarter than me, but every time we have a project meeting, I have to go home and jerk off until my dick is raw."
Like I said, spicy. This also has a dom-sub power relationship (among other kinks) and while it's not usually my thing, it was my thing in this book lmao
You're fucking adorable, Scarlett." He tilts my chin up. Another kiss. This time on the tip of my nose. "It makes me want to wreck you."
Infinity stars.
"Because sometimes I can't breathe when you're around."
I am melted goo on the floor.
"I fuck you because you're the most perfect thing I've ever felt, Scarlett."
I think I tabbed half the book lmao Perfection. Relatable. Sob worthy.
"I know it sounds counterintuitive, but I'm usually overthínking something. Desperately trying to avoid screwing up and working myself up to a panic." Am I taking up too much space? Boring you? Disappointing you? Would you rather be somewhere else, with someone else? Overwhelmed by the burden of wondering whether I'm doing it right."
^ Me to a tee
I cannot emphasize how much I loved Scarlett's anxious introverted mind. So many thought processes and comments were so similar to mine. Ali Hazelwood is seriously good at putting mental illness on page and making it relatable. Every book has good rep for this and I eat it up because it's basically my brain in a book lmao
Also, the wit and comedy, the banter, just *chefs kiss* like normal
ALSO also Olive and Adam, hi bebes
Okay, I'm done now because this was 90% quotes and I have more so let's stop here 😂
