Gross Anatomy: Dispatches from the Front
by Mara Altman
This was a bit wordy and anecdotal, and honestly I knew most of the facts, but reading this book was like talking to a good girl friend. Yeah, we are hairy, we sweat, we each have two very different boobs and neither of us feel good about any of it, but it just is. That's it, it just is, and we have been told to get rid of any abnormalities, but is it really abnormal if every one of us has a body and they all do this or have that? Why society preaches us to hate ourselves, I'll never know (oh wait, yes I do, it's called greedy capitalism and buying anything for beautification purposes lines someone's pockets that isn't yours). Point is, don't listen to that ad that's telling you your legs should be bare.
