I picked this up as part of my continuation of this series.
"Komi Can't Communicate, Vol. 5" follows Komi and her new friends as Komi continues to try to make friends. In this installment, the group work together to try to raise more money than the rest of the classes by hosting a maid cafe.
This installment more than the previous felt more like the characters were treating Komi like an object to "win". So very few people actually know Komi, or want to, they just see her as beautiful and want her in their lives. This volume also felt very over the top and the characters repeatedly made crazy decisions that felt highly dramatized.
I will still probably continue this series, as I am now curious to see if Komi can make 100 friends.
