Eight Cousins by Louisa May Alcott

3.0

Obviously written to be uplifting literature for the children of Alcott's day. Plot is rather thin, being more a set-up for Alcott to express ideas about how children ought to be raised and educated. So, it's progressive for its time in some ways, but my family ended up having several discussions about whether it is, as the book suggests, the responsibility of young ladies to help all the young men around her be "good."
