i have mixed feelings....reallly dense writing (sometimes a paragraph was longer than a page. i can't do that.) and i didn't like this thing where she would alternate between using quotation marks and not using them and also have multiple people talking (with no quotation marks) within the same paragraph....but the Darkness and the stuff with the Order was cool. it took me a thousand years to get into but i really liked the end of part 1, part 3, and part 4. the end seemed so sudden...like it's the last 30-50 pages or so of a 600 page book where all the end stuff happens and
gaspar goes to the order and kills them all
. but i like how you can look back after reading it and really appreciate the way it unfurled, the way everything was connected.
