It was really slow to begin with, but you always get the sense something bigger is going on. I trudged through this book. It made me cry, made me laugh and made me angry. The story line is unfinished in the first book, there definitely should be a sequel to finish some business she left behind in the first book.
Over all it was a captivating novel that caused various emotions to surge through me. I would recommend this for those with patience, those that like legends and those that like the supernatural. It doesn't give much of the supernatural truths until the end, but they are there.
