This book was incredible - I was audibly gasping and screaming as I made my way through it and more details were revealed.
The first half to 2/3 of the book were an incredibly breakdown of gentrification happening in real-time, through the lens of Sydney who had lived in the neighborhood her whole life. Then the final part of the book moved a bit further away from things we see in real time to a slightly exaggerated version (but absolutely still plausible) and was horrifying in the way I wanted this book to be.
I also thoroughly enjoyed the POV switching between Sydney and Theo and getting to see their different perspectives on what was happening around them.
Truly a book I will not stop thinking about for a while and would recommend to anyone.
