This book was definitely slow, but it was intense the entire time. Every page was fraught with tension and you never knew what was going to happen. I loved the growth of Tad and Blade especially, but every character learned valuable lessons throughout this book and I think that's a very important part of a series like this.

Honestly, I can't think of anything to say about this book, and trilogy as a whole, except that I loved it and it is definitely one of my favorite fantasy series I've read so far. Mercedes Lackey has an immensely creative mind and she's very good at executing her stories.
