Today Tonight Forever is set during a wedding weekend. The main character, 33 year old Athena, recently divorced from her wife who will be at the wedding with her new partner - the woman she cheated on Athena with, is one of the bridesmaids. However, the book really focuses on a large cast of characters, and we get all their interconnected back stories as well as their interactions during the wedding weekend. This is a warm-hearted story featuring both family and found family. I liked that it had a variety of Queer characters, including a trans-man, and that it explored many issues surrounding queerness and religion.  However, it felt too long, and the cast a little too large and unwieldy to hold my interest. It wasn't a bad book but I struggled to care and may have DNF'd had I not been on a lengthy car trip with no other audiobook option.
