Right from the very start, I did not want the main couple to add up together and there was no point in the book that changed my mind.

The premise of the book is 2 people meet and hang out for 1 day right around the time the graduated college and then 10 years later they are completely in love with each other. The problem I have with this is they never really seemed to get to know each other they just suddenly understood each other and then never moved on. Maybe I am cynical, but it doesn’t seem like this is a reasonable way to build a long term relationship.

Our MMC Will also continually does extremely disrespectful and selfish things, but then is just forgiven. And I do mean just forgiven he doesn't have to work for it at all, the women in his life do all the work.

There is also an “I’m not like other girls” narrative in the story that’s just grating.

I think the worst part is there was something here. The struggles the MFC have are completely understandable. Not really knowing what you want or knowing yourself, understood. Complex relationship with her Mom, understood. Dealing with grief of losing a parent, understood. But the relationship, just made 0 sense to me.
