“Maybe part of falling in love with someone else is also falling in love with yourself.”

This is my second read of The Sun is Also a Star and I'm actually quite surprised that I liked it more on this read than my first read! Honestly, a few chapters before it ended, I was a bit skeptical if I'm actually gonna rate it as well as I did (I rated it 4.5), but well, I was wrong! I LOVED IT EVEN MORE! So, I now rated it a 5⭐!!!

I think this book has become one of my favorite plot-driven books! Because IDK it's just TOO GOOD for me!!! But the fact that the story takes place in only a day. 1 DAY (except the epilogue)! And that is what made me fall in love with this book so much! It's just so interesting to see a book that only takes place in a day!

However, I am not a fan of love at first sight... But! But but but, I love that Nicola Yoon wrote this,
“There’s a Japanese phrase that I like: koi no yokan. It doesn’t mean love at first sight. It’s closer to love at second sight. It’s the feeling when you meet someone that you’re going to fall in love with them. Maybe you don’t love them right away, but it’s inevitable that you will.”
And IDK ahhh I just love that so much (but it kinda still counts as love as first sight in this book)!

Now, the fun part, tropes! Well if you like love at first sight, this is for you! But this book also has grumpy-sunshine and what I love about this is the guy is the sunshine and the girl is the grumpy one! Don't you just want to read it?!

In conclusion, READ THIS BOOK RIGHT THE FUCK NOW! This is such a good fast-paced, rom-com, a bit emotional, and just a book full of love, fate, and meant-to-bes!!! Please give this book a read even though you don't usually read this type of book!

“Hearts don't break. They just stop working. An old watch from another time and no parts to fix it.”

“I know for sure that I will always compare every city skyline to New York's. Just as I will always compare every boy to Daniel.”
