Overall I enjoyed this book. I really loved how the writing was able to bring in 50 years of family history but also tie in the present in an effortless way. The book was hard to read at many points and featured some darker content but was written in a way that was sensitive to the content was well. I marked this only 4/5 stars because the ending just didn’t give me the closure I needed. There were so many strings left untied and while I understand the main characters decision to do this for some, I wish she had tied up her loose ends and been honest with herself and those she loved. Overall a great read though!
