No One Gets Out Alive by Adam L.G. Nevill

3.0

This would’ve been more impactful if it had been about 200 pages shorter or divided into two books, and hadn’t obviously been a man trying to write a woman in peril. I just don’t get why they always think women will make stupid decisions under duress or not know when to keep our mouths shut and play dumb until the time is right to act.
Spoiler When the MC aggressively threatened to call the cops on a man who JUST murdered another woman, and did so while in a room alone with him and not even trying to hide her cell phone (rather than demurely waiting for him to leave the room before sneakily doing so) I almost rolled my eyes right out of my head. Sigh.

This was a really intriguing premise, but it fell flat for me and was too drawn out.
