Heartstopper: Volume One by Alice Oseman

5.0

I remember seeing Heartstopper on a shelf at the bookstore a few months before and thinking that the cover art was super cute, but after flipping through for a few seconds and seeing that it was a graphic novel, deemed it too YA for my taste. But I finally picked up the Kindle version, and it looks super gorgeous! I love the handwritten aspect of the graphics, and I love the way the author/artist drew the characters. So very talented of her, am now a die-hard fan of Alice Oseman. I also really loved how the story (very short and sweet) tackled a lot of issues: toxic relationships, embracing sexuality, peer pressure and bullying. So adorable and heartwarming, I literally bought the rest of the series after I read the first one and am considering buying a paperback copy!! Charlie and Nick forever <3333
