This memoir goes into the complexity of political issues and the authors feelings on race, identify, and being the child of parents who immigrated to America. I was left wanting more and didn't feel like the issues were explored as much as I would have liked. I think this book would have been amazing as a regular book as apposed to a graphic memoir. Due to the nature of it being a graphic memoir and the number of years covered the reading experience felt a bit disjointed. Its a quick read and easy to follow. Interested in picking up a novel or traditional non fiction work by this author.
